Early this morning I heard a cat screech from somewhere in the woods. We live in the middle of nowhere, so it’s not unusual to have a few strays about the lawn. There’s one in particular, though, that I’ve been taking care of lately. I thought this was her crying so, at somewhere near four in the morning, I ran outside into the woods to look for this cat.
Lily, having been awakened by all of this, scratched her little head and told me to go back to sleepies. It was just her kitty I was hearing, and she was just scaring away Lily’s nightmares.
Huh?!? Lily has a cat? I’m OK with that. It just would have been nice to be let in on that one a bit earlier.
When Lily woke up this morning all refreshed and safe from her nightmares, I asked her to tell me more about the cat. She said she brought her inside a long time ago when the big scary mean mens made her hurt the kitty. At that point a protector who I had never seen before stepped in and blocked Lily from me.
After he had gone, Paula stepped out of the ether to remind me that there was such a thing, especially in SRA, as an animal alter.
As soon as I can lift my bottom lip from the floor I’ll do a bit more pressing about internally to see if I can understand this further. I know about animal alters. Unfortunately I also know how they are created. The thought that an animal alter might be mixed in among my internal people just hadn’t crossed my mind until then.
This could get interesting.
